Akkaraipattu As-siraj maha vidyalaya National School, formerly known as Akkaraipattu First divison government Muslim mixed School, has a rich history dating back to its establishment on November 2, 1958. The school's inception was made possible through the generous land donation of Mr. IL Mohammadaliar. The founding members, including IL Mohammadaliar, AK Mahumoodulebbe, MP. Adam Lebbe, A.P. Ayat Muhammad, Abdul Raheem, Y. L. Adam Lebbe, K.L.M. MEERASAHIBU PHODIYAR, IMM MEERASAHIBU SENI, Muhammad Manol, M.S. Alithambi, V.V. M.A.S. Ahmed, Y. L. Mohideen, Abdul Qader Kasim Bawa Asnar, M. L. A.D. Adam Lebbe, and Muthu miralebbe (Aggrasaner), worked tirelessly to establish this educational institution.
On November 3, 1958, Janab. M.S.A. Mohideen took on the role of the first principal, ushering in a new era of education in the region. The school's first students, Janab. MA Haneefa and M.A. Badurunnisa, marked the beginning of a long and successful journey in education.
In 1969, the school underwent a name change to become Akkaraipattu First division As-Siraj Vidyalaya, and over the years, it has seen various milestones, including its recognition as a Navodaya School in 2005. The school's commitment to academic excellence is evident in its students' achievements, such as the results of the First Scholarship Exam in 1998, where M. S. Naseer, MS. Manbusha, and M.I.M. Haneefah distinguished themselves.
The school's growth continued with the inauguration of a high-quality scientific laboratory in 2002 and the establishment of a separate section for Bilingual Studies in 2003. It became a school for grades 6 - 13 under the Thousand School Development Scheme in 2013. In 2021, it achieved the prestigious status of a National School.
